I recently signed up for Guavapass and one of its partners is Muscle Parkour Gym. The place is very near where I live so although my initial experience was unsatisfactory, I was easily able to go back.

I attended the Kettlebell Class in the afternoon and I was the only person present. I was a little scared in the beginning because I have not beein exercising for a while.
Teacher Carlo was really nice and understanding while giving instructions. I learned an important thing in class which is that I have been doing kettlebell exercises wrong all along. Apparently, you’re not supposed to be squatting. Oops.
Kettlebell exercises are supposed to tone your back muscles, butts, and backs of your thighs. I didn’t feel my back muscles hurt during the exercise, I felt like it was the back of my thighs that was doing the work. I woke up the next day with a sore back. It was a very odd soreness, mostly because it was the first time that my back area of felt sore.
This was an amazing class and it gave me a good grasp of how to do kettlebell exercises. Since I was the only student, there was more focus on form, which I believe, the foundation of all good exercises.
After class, I got my hands on a bit of parkouring. It is scary and exhilarating– feelings akin to the first stages of love. I will definitely come back again.
Facilities: Shower, Yoga Mats, Weights Area, Parkour Area, Boxing Gloves
Ambiance: The receptionist was super friendly. There are loads of people who hang out in the place but it’s not scary as the receptionist is easy to talk to.
Rates: 300-400, depending on the class. One month gym use is 1500. For walk in gym use, they have a special rate of 80 (6AM-3PM only). Regular walk-in rate for gym use is 150.
